Ogden Water: Set high in the Pennine hills lies Ogden Water. Ogden is a Country Park and Local Nature reserve set around a 34 acre reservoir that has been supplying the people of Halifax with a clean supply of drinking water for well over one hundred and fifty years. Though owned by Yorkshire Water PLC, the country park is managed by Calderdale Council who provide the access and woodlands for the benefit of conservation and quiet informal recreation. The total area of the estate is only some 60 hectares.
